Your well thought out response is a testament to your character. Thanks for the reminder that the press is a complete crock.Gabrielahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01843520065003449593noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7032939517165269982.post-81628626929965858442015-02-09T01:05:27.783-08:002015-02-09T01:05:27.783-08:00I'm sorry to hear this has happened to you - I...I'm sorry to hear this has happened to you - I have a policy of NEVER reading the Fail, no matter how tempting the title, because they are awful and reading anything on their ghastly site just encourages them. Something I shall continue to stick to. It doesn't surprise me that they twisted your words; they're merely after the clicks.Mimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01578612522819952936noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7032939517165269982.post-78303096656371310552015-02-08T11:16:36.119-08:002015-02-08T11:16:36.119-08:00Thank you so much Naomi, I really appreciate your ...Thank you so much Naomi, I really appreciate your support! xAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01820189937611248318noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7032939517165269982.post-48742079824601888382015-02-08T09:22:47.009-08:002015-02-08T09:22:47.009-08:00I read the article several days ago, before I knew...I read the article several days ago, before I knew you were being criticized for your interview. I don't believe you said anything out of turn. If anyone were to focus on your words instead of The Daily Mail's commentary, they would see that you in no way "bashed" anyone. I'm sorry that you've had to go through all of this criticism and unpleasantness.

Sending virtual hugs your way,
NaomiAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7032939517165269982.post-4616060069409386572015-02-07T13:08:35.443-08:002015-02-07T13:08:35.443-08:00Mama Glo, thank you for taking the time to read th...Mama Glo, thank you for taking the time to read this, I really appreciate it. Hear!
Having read the article in the Daily ...Hear! Hear!

Having read the article in the Daily Fail upon recommendation, and seen the backlash from it (unsurprisingly), I am so thankful you have had the courage to push forth and point out the truth of the matters in hand, rather than let people ignorantly assume what the press said was accurate.

Anyone who honestly thinks the 'journalistic' mess that is the Daily Fail EVER writes with integrity needs their head examined! Not to mention the rest of the regular UK publications! I have seen a few comments on your story and personal self about the place, many applauding but several written with both underlying malice and total ignorance, the primary failing being they were taking what you supposedly said as being word for word accurate. Yeah, right. In THAT newspaper?

No woman 'asks' to be attack - nor any man, for it does happen. But in today's society, some women's appearance WILL provoke a different reaction than someone who 'looks' like a society 'lady'. That is MY opinion and, like it or not, it's right for the time and place we are in, socially speaking. Doesn't make it right - quite the opposite! But it IS the truth. And society is what is needed to change, not clothing. But that point is NOTHING to do with what you were trying to express. It's the paper's way of stirring up a load of hypocrisy, misunderstanding and bullshit to deliberately have people talking about THEIR publication, and screw anyone it misrepresents in the process.

Maybe if EVERYONE abandoned the UK - if not world - press, and stuck to truthful eye-witness accounts and their own bloody business, the press would get the hint!

Good luck (and look!), Miss Vintage UK. Shine like the star you are for other things than how beautifully you dress, and don't let anyone rain on YOUR parade.

XAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04186002729652909591noreply@blogger.com
